Cecilia Giacomini, winner of the Spring Category of the Maria Antonietta Berlusconi International Classical Dance Award for Young, received the 2025 Carla Fracci Award at the International Dance and Dance Festival.
The prestigious award, historically presented by Maestro Menegatti, was presented this year by Gisella Zilembo, designated by the organization to take up the baton, in memory of Signora Fracci and the Maestro’s years of collaboration with the MAB Award and their constant attention to new generations of artists.
At the prestigious event organized by Carla Bublitz with the support of Gruppo Zaffari, General Manager Gisella Zilembo represents MAB within a World-Class Jury, together with Claudia Zaccari, appointed on this occasion as Head of MAB International Relations.
During the final gala evening, Gisella Zilembo presents the MAB Brazil Award to the young winner Martina Tolaba Sanchez.
In August, MAB students took part in the summer programs of the Joffrey Ballet School and the Complexions Academy in New York.
A training experience that gave the opportunity to deal with international professional realities and represented a significant milestone for the winner MAB Italia, recipient of a full scholarship at the Complexions Academy.
Orazio Santopaolo (Ballet Studio Napoli, direction M° Massimo De Santis and M° Francesco Annarumma), thanks to the programs of the Circuito Scuole MAB, and Andrea De Giosa (Pas de deux Bari, direction M° Portia Tedone), through participation in the MAB Artistic Residences, were selected for the full scholarships of the American Classical Ballet of Frisco (Texas).
The selection was made by M° George Birkadze, Director of the institution, and Gisella Zilembo, General Manager MAB.
The program, lasting six weeks, includes an intensive training course and the possibility of participating in pre-professional productions, with total coverage of tuition, travel and accommodation.
A recognition of the talent and educational commitment of the two young artists, in line with the MAB 2026 vision: building a future through Dance, where sacrifice and passion become concrete tools of success.
In Turku, Finland, Dance Camp 2025 brought together young Italians and Finns for a week of training and exchange.
Thanks to the collaboration with MAB, Ruusuilla tanssijat ry, Raija Lehmussaari Ballet School, the City of Turku, the Turku University of Applied Sciences and EventiDanza, participants were able to discuss and work together in an international context.
The experience ended with the presentation of the original choreographies “MAMART” and “MATHAUS”, signed by Gisella Zilembo: a significant testimony to the expressive power and universal language that have always characterized Dance.
From 12 to 15 July, the first edition of the Show Production Experience was born at the Grand Hotel Parco dei Principi 5*.
A formative experience that deepened the dynamics of the show and promoted collaboration as a key element of the artistic process.
In line with the vision of the MAB Association for 2026 which aims to build the conditions for a professional future — in Dance, for those who have the requirements and the intention to undertake this path, and in society, for everyone, with the awareness that Dance transmits: sacrifice and passion are real tools of success, of making “happen” what you really want and are willing to commit to.
Next appointment: Winter Camp MAB, 6–8 December 2025
